We produce a bi-monthly newsletter with
stories and issues that affect your reports
In 28 years of reviewing credit reports and helping consumers both as a
bureau manager and a consultant to mortgage brokers, I have run into just
about every possible scenario involving information on credit reports. I have
shared them in a bi-monthly newsletter along with legal updates and industry
changes.
You may click the links at the bottom of this page to see some of the experiences we
have had relating to the credit bureau industry.
"Five Scam" relates to creditors and even government agencies that have found a way around the obsolescence period provided in the 1997 FCRA amendments and enhanced in the 2004 amendments.
"Suspense Accounts" deal with some banks that are funneling funds into separate accounts but still accelerating delinquency.
"Who is your Credit Expert" deals with an online quiz by a national bank where half
of their answers to their own questions were incorrect.
